Submission Guidelines
- Submission Languages: manuscripts are accepted in English or French.
- Required Structure: manuscripts should normally include Title, Abstract of 150–250 words, 4–6 Keywords, Introduction, Literature Review or Theoretical Framework, Methodology, Results or Analysis, Discussion, Conclusion, and References.
Given the diversity of sociological and social-science research, theoretical, qualitative, ethnographic, historical, comparative, or case-based manuscripts are not required to follow a conventional quantitative empirical structure when such a format is inappropriate. They may instead be organized into coherent thematic sections and subsections suited to the research question and methodology.
- Manuscript Preparation: authors must prepare submissions in accordance with the journal’s official manuscript template and formatting requirements.
- Quantitative studies should clearly describe the sample, variables, data sources, measurement procedures, and analytical methods.
- Qualitative studies should clearly explain participant selection, data collection procedures, analytical strategy, and relevant ethical considerations.
- Studies involving interviews, surveys, focus groups, observations, experiments, vulnerable populations, or personal data must comply with applicable ethical, confidentiality, informed-consent, and data-protection requirements.
- Research Articles: normally between 6,000 and 10,000 words.
- Research Notes: normally between 3,000 and 5,000 words.
- Submission Method: manuscripts must be submitted exclusively through the journal’s online submission platform.
- Editorial Process:
- Initial screening by the Editor-in-Chief or editorial team.
- Double-blind peer review by at least two qualified reviewers.
- Revision by the author where required.
- Assessment of the revised manuscript.
- Final editorial decision based on originality, academic quality, methodological rigor, ethical compliance, and relevance to the journal.
