Publishing Policies
The publishing policies of Al-Farabi Publishing and Research are based on a firm commitment to open science, academic rigor, and the global dissemination of knowledge. All journals published by the publishing house follow a full open access policy, ensuring that articles are made immediately and freely available to the scientific community and the general public, without financial or institutional restrictions. This approach is designed to encourage the broad and rapid circulation of ideas, to enhance the international visibility of authors, and to contribute to the development of scientific and interdisciplinary debates. To guarantee their accessibility and long-term preservation, articles are archived in open repositories and digital libraries, ensuring their traceability and durability. To cover the costs related to editorial management, digital hosting, and archiving, the publishing house applies an article processing charge (APC) of €150. These fees are charged only after the final acceptance of manuscripts, ensuring that editorial decisions are based solely on scientific criteria and relevance. This model helps maintain a balance between the economic sustainability of the publishing house and the principle of universal access to research.
The publishing house strictly follows the recommendations of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and applies high standards of scientific integrity. Authors are required to submit original work, cite their sources accurately, avoid multiple submissions, and declare any potential conflicts of interest. Reviewers commit to providing objective and constructive feedback while respecting confidentiality, whereas editors ensure impartial decision-making, transparency in processes, and the publication of corrections or retractions when necessary. Prohibited practices such as plagiarism, self-plagiarism, data falsification, or redundant publication result in sanctions ranging from immediate rejection to a ban on future submissions, and even the retraction of already published articles. Manuscripts must comply with the official submission guidelines and be written in either English or French. They must follow a standard academic structure including a title, abstract, keywords, introduction, literature review, methodology, results, discussion, conclusion, and references. Each article undergoes a rigorous double-blind peer review process by at least two independent experts. Authors retain copyright of their work, and all articles are published under a Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY 4.0) license, which permits reproduction, adaptation, translation, and distribution, including for commercial purposes, provided that proper credit is given. Through these policies, Al-Farabi Publishing and Research affirms its mission to promote open knowledge, uphold scientific integrity, and contribute to the advancement of academic research on a global scale.
